- 4 Leeks
- 4 Tbs of grated Italian Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano cheese
- 4 Tbs of bread crumbs
- Fresh nutmeg
- Pepper a pinch
- Salt a pinch
- 100ml of 30% fat cream
- 1 Tbs Extra virgin olive oil + few staples of butter
Preheat the oven at 170°C (190F°) Clean and cut the Leeks lengthwise (half or quarters depending on the size). Put them in large pan of boiling salty water and cook for about 4 minutes. Take them out and drain them in a colander.
Put the olive oil in a baking tray and cover with the drained leeks, add the cream, salt, pepper to taste and a dash of freshly grated nutmeg.
Sprinkle with the grated Parmesan cheese, top with the bread crumbs and few staples of butter
Put in the oven for 20 or 30 minutes (it depends on your oven) untill the top turns golden-brown.
