Smoked Salmon, Mixed Baby Lettuce and a Rose Petal Champagne Vinaegrette

This recipe has a very elegant and sophisticated flavor!  This is a beautiful flavor combination that may appeal to a charming lady.
Recipe:  Place a small mound of mixed baby lettuce on the center of a plate.
Place thin plum tomato slices on the plate around the lettuce.
Place a dab of fine chopped hard boiled egg on each tomato slice.
Set a couple of pieces of thin sliced smoked salmon on top of the lettuce.
Place some very thin sliced shallot between the two salmon pieces.
Rose Petal Champagne Vinaegrette Recipe:  Place some chopped, small edible rose petals in a bowl.  (Dried small edible rose petals can be used for this recipe too.)
Add a splash of champagne vinegar to the rose petals and let it stand for twenty minutes so the flavors infuse.
Add a little bit of fine chopped shallot.
Add a splash of olive oil.   (Do not use virgin olive oil for this dressing.  Virgin olive oil has too strong of a flavor!)
Add sea salt and white pepper.
Add a little squeeze of lemon juice.
Stir the ingredients till they are mixed well.  Spoon the rose petal champagne vinaegrette between the smoked salmon slices, over the lettuce and between the tomato slices.
The flavor is very "lady like."  The sweet aroma and flavor of fragrant rose petals is fantastic with smoked salmon.  The light flavor of champagne vinegar compliments the rose petals.  I have done a lot of edible flower cooking over the years.  This rose petal champagne vinaegrette is one of my favorites!  ...  Shawna
